One Does Not Simply Become The Guardian of A Hell Gate

Actually, it's two of them but it doesn't sound good if I put two up there.

Anyways, Gevirash and Zoran were two of many other guardians of Hell Gates that were scattered all over the globe, but, they were the only ones Yverna and her companions could tolerate as opposed to the others, what with their rigidness that would give a granny a run for her money.

The two had been standing at their post for thousands of years without the luxury of patrolling the area, so you can imagine the level of boredom they'd reached. Yverna and the others were used to finding weird, and oftentimes, obscene symbols on the ground around them, courtesy of them poking the soil with their spears - actually, it was a surprise they haven't begun to sharpen their skills in art and started painting the scenery using their spears. In some other time, the two lazily battled each other, well, more like hit the tip of each other's spears while they were sitting, because serious sparring would be against the rule.

Yverna and her companions' willingness to talk to them was a chance they grabbed immediately, and they started asking any kind of update to whatever problems Yverna and the others were in, even though they couldn't actually do anything except keeping an eye out  for them when they asked - something that should be reported to the higher-ups, but neither Gevirash nor Zoran wanted to rat on those elite soldiers, for they were the only ones who gave a damn about them.

When both Valthors learned of Cain's prophecy, and not long afterwards, they heard few other soldiers were talking about the Sisters of Mayhem would be caught regarding the death of three Archangels

One Does Not Simply Become A Rebellious Prince

Well, Belphegor, the notoriously ruthless and rebellious North Prince, is a jerk.
Even calling him that is a big understatement, then again, he was the only one dared to openly defy Lucifer, his father, which was a record, since his dad was the eternal symbol of bigheadedness - maybe that's why they say apple doesn't fall far from the tree, except maybe into Eve's hands, who knew?

Long story short, Belphegor started all that separation-from-the-flock thing, and it wasn't because of daddy issues - i.e dad doesn't love me or pay attention to me - and of course not for any self-righteousness either - hello, Prince of Hell here - rather, he began it all when he found out the truth about Lucifer's ultimate weapon, the Rygavon.

That weapon which housed the Dark Light wasn't truly his, and by wielding it, he'd mark all unholy with bull's eye on their backs - add that with his Echelons went out their way and pit the soldiers against each other, the soldiers might as well be exterminated by his own hands.

That was the last straw to Belphegor, and after every other thing his father had done, that said a lot.

Knowing this, Belphegor went to Vassago, another Prince of Hell who resided in the Shadow Realm -  a realm that resembled much like the in-between, or Nether Realm. Vassago, who'd been a long-time friend to Belphegor, and had more allegiance to him than to his father, immediately came to his side. Not long afterwards, so did a few other Royals of Hell who had never been so keen with Lucifer but had been keeping their heads down since there had been no real reasons to invite the Angel of Death to their halls in their respective castles.

Among those who'd secretly switched allegiance were two most powerful members of the Echelons of Hell, Bynethar and Xamian. Their reason for switching their allegiance was a lot more personal than the other royals.

One Does Not Simply Mess With Prophecies

It's true, boys and girls. If you've ever watched movies or read books that mentioned the P word, you'd know not to do anything to break them, and if you do, there will be serious repercussions to deal with.

Meaning that everything still happens the way the P word say it would, only with some bonus punches at your face for trying to mess with it.

Ezryan along with his companions knew that much, so, when Cain declared a set of prophecy containing the the Great War between Heaven and Hell which would result in the angels decimating almost all unholy citizens, followed by the new age war thousands of years later, they didn't try to break the former. Instead, they pursued the latter, and the angels were not exactly happy - well, those holy soldiers weren't happy that a few of unholy soldiers, most of all Ezryan, managed to find out about the second part of the prophecy to begin with, or hey, maybe they just weren't happy with the existence of unholy, period.

The angels thought that they would be able to destroy all of Hell, not to mention that the prophecy declared that Lucifer would be imprisoned during the Great War. Thus, they prepared to go to such lengths in destroying the unholy soldiers, even at the cost

Every Chronicle Has A Beginning

Yes, it's true, like the Oracle from the Matrix said to Neo. But, I won't be talking about the other part she said about the end yet, because this part's only the beginning.

Well, the Matrix aside, the world when devils were still roam free is altogether different. Even though each rank answered to different duty, just like most civilisation, but, they also had complexities just like every race with established hierarchy, especially one led by treacherous souls.

Just like any other legends, some people will rise up under the tyranny, so did with theirs.

The only thought that Ezryan, the 13th Hieldhar or High Commander of the entire Seven Legions,  had in mind when he first realised the Echelons of Hell's betrayal, and ultimately Lucifer was to protect his closest comrades. If he was to rise up to tyrants - in this case, the Echelons - it would be one hell of irony since the only woman he'd ever loved thrived on creating tyrants.

The tyrants' creator was one particular Cherxanain - an elite rank of soldiers directly under Ezryan - named Yverna. Revered even among soldiers as Tyraviafonza - Queen of Tyranny - Yverna's duty was to turn  the human Rulers of Old into tyrants that was ruthless enough to slaughter their own kin by manipulating the darkness in their souls.

The one in human souls was one of many kinds of darkness, which Yverna had complete control over. Being the only darkness wielder in the entire Legions and one of very few left including those among the Royals of Hell protected her even though there were times when an Echelon member named Kathiera would love nothing more than to send her straight to oblivion.

Why an Echelon member want to kill one of the best Cherxanain?
